What Are You Willing To Leave Behind In 2019?

Its inspiring, I love a good hustle when its empowered and true. Hustle is most appropriate when we find ourselves in the Wood phase of a project. Where the vision is clear, all of the inner alignment unseen parts are on board, the plan is in place and now all thats left to do is execute. In this moment, hustle happens with ease, the drive and perseverance will bring it over the finish line.

But what if the the vision or the plan isn’t there yet. Then what?

I know all too well that if I’m not in the Wood Phase and pretending to be, trying to run before I can walk the results are fleeting or the effort is unsupported. Fooling myself into action always feels like I'm doing something and getting somewhere, but sometimes it just brings me right back around to where I started.

So then what do you do?

Seasonally on the Northern Hemisphere we find ourselves in the Metal Season, and here it is safe to take a breath. You don’t need to have it all figured out, nor do you need to push ahead if you’re not there yet.

Instead, what if you, let it all go. What if in these last few months you didn’t pick it all up and forage ahead, but instead released everything and anything that doesn’t need to come with you into the next year or decade.

My all time favourite quote written by Rachel Naomi Remen states:

"Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you, all of the expectations, all of the beliefs - and becoming who you are."

What if, these last few months of this decade, you released all that you aren’t, to come home to your truest most authentic expression of yourself and then you move forward from there.

Rather than questioning what you’re going to get out of these last few months?

Instead inquiring within revealing,

What you’re ready or willing to transcend?

Perhaps you will end up exactly in the same place regardless of the question you decide to answer, however, in the surrendering of what no longer needs to be there the hustle and doing all of the things might possibly line up for you with the most grace that it doesn’t even feel like hustling. You may also get to experience it feeling completely and utterly FREE.

Through the softening of our expectations and allowing ourselves to walk thru to the space where alignment precedes the push, we come to realize that closure opens up just as many opportunities if not more.

It’s up to you…

What are you willing to leave behind?

XO Ashley
