My Favorite Green Fertility Smoothie

Green Smoothies are all the rage these days and for those of you that are new to them, you may be looking for something that is both healthy and tasty to get started.
Give this easy delicious one a try:

• 1 Cup of Organic Blueberries
• 1 Organic Banana (chilled or frozen)
• 3-4 Organic chard or kale leaves (stems removed)
• 1 Cup of filtered water or coconut water
• Wash your ingredients, place in blender, pulse until completely liquefied and drink fresh.

How do these ingredients help improve your fertility?

Blueberries:
A super-food loaded with antioxidants. They are a natural disease fighting food, high in fiber, and contain a potent dose of proanthocyanidins beneficial for cognitive function, cardiovascular, and reproductive health.

Banana:
Buy Organic, high in Vitamin B6 can be used to help to regulate blood sugars, alleviates PMS, and may be useful in relieving symptoms of morning sickness. B6 has also been shown to help with Luteal Phase Defect.

Kale:
A member of the cruciferous family and is one of the leaders when it comes to nutritious veggies. Packed with antioxidants and a mega-load of vitamins and nutrients and is known to promote health by enhancing the immune system, repairing damage to and protecting cells, removing harmful products from the body, and reducing inflammation. This makes kale a real champ when providing a healthy diet for fertility, especially for those with PCOS or endometriosis.

Coconut Water:
Alkalizing to the body, high in potassium, magnesium among other minerals, coconut water can help to create an environment more conducive to conception and perhaps even reduce the risk of miscarriage.

Once you get the hang of green smoothies you can experiment with many types of greens, fruits and veggies and enjoy.
